Air Quality Index

What is AQI and why is it important?

Like you check for rain or bad weather, it is essential to also keep an eye on the AQI, the National Air Quality Index launched in 2014 under the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. The index measures 8 parameters across 240 cities in India with 342 monitoring stations, and it shows the current and forecasted levels of particulate matter in the air.

How to measure AQI?

At Warrior Moms we fight air pollution as part of various citizen groups, local and national. If you’re reading this and engaging in the fight, you’re a Warrior Mom too! To empower and enable you with good data, we’ve picked out favourite apps and websites that we’ve used over the years.
