Theme: Solid Waste Management

Rampant unchecked burning of garbage by individuals and institutes, growing number of landfills outside our metros are representative of the fact that as a country we are still struggling with proper implementation of garbage segregation and disposal practices. Our systems need to change and move towards adequate waste infrastructure, execute regulations on waste dumping and support sanitation workers in carrying out their roles effectively and with dignity. Warrior Moms aim to tackle both society’s attitude towards waste as well as local corporations’ poor execution of regulations by:

Conducting regular online and offline sustainability workshops, collaborating with communities and schools. Helping communities to adopt safe and sustainable solid waste management (SWM) practices. Demanding enforcement of SWM
Rules 2016.
